DIY! Studio Pomyslow- inspired necklace

Hello everybody! Hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve, and that you started 2012 with optimism and energy. I still feel like dancing, but between bachata and cha cha cha in front of the mirror, I want to share with you an idea of an easy-to-do necklace. My inspiration was Studio Pomyslow, an amazing Polish accessories brand, whose website you can find below. If you feel like handmaking, here you go.

How to:

1. Cut a piece of clothing (make sure you won't cry for it afterwards) into several strips. I used 15 strips for my necklace; it depends on how much volume you want it to have. The more pieces you use, the more volume you get.

2. Choose a basis for your necklace. I chose to braid some brown thread, but you can also use a ribbon or a thin chain.

3. Bend the strip in half and place it under the thread/ribbon/chain.
4. Take the strip through the curl, and stretch it until you obtain a knot.
5.  Follow steps 3 and 4 using all the other strips.

6. Congratulations! You have a brand new necklace.

Tell me about your own results! Looking forward to your opinions.

Wish you a Year on Fire,
Andreea Hash
